Our self guided walking holidays and tours are ideal for the independantly minded walker who wants to visit the best areas, staying in good quality accommodation, but doesn't have the time in their busy schedule to research and organise their tour. |
Simply Walk is a small business run by walkers with over 50 years walking experience in the Derbyshire Peak District, one of England and the UK's premier walking and hiking counties. Using our knowledge of the area we have devised our own unique walking tours. We take you to the quiet backwaters of the area, as well as the better known 'tourist' attractions in the Peak District.

On all the walks you will stay in country inns, farmhouses and cottages selected for their pleasant surroundings, rural charm and warm friendly welcome, not to mention the superb breakfasts! - often made using local Derbyshire produce. Staying in different accommodation each night will give you a real sense of achievement as you pass through the incredibly diverse scenery and geology of the Derbyshire Peak District. We want you to enjoy your days walk without the hindrance of a heavy rucksack, so each day we will transport your luggage to the next nights stop over. Our clients receive two guidebooks specifically written for the holiday of their choice. The first guide describes the walk in great detail including maps and elevation data. The second points out all the places of interest along the way, as well as providing more practical information on things like shops, cafes, pubs, toilets and banks. To complement the guide books we will also provide you with the appropriate Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 Outdoor Leisure maps and electronic information covering the walks for your GPS. We can hire you a GPS if you don't have your own.

Our intention is to look after all the haulage and organising in the background, while you relax and enjoy the beauty of the Peak District. You should hardly notice we're around, though if you have any problems we will be there to sort them out. We would also like to meet you for a drink somewhere along the way!
We feel our small size and local knowledge allows us to offer that little bit extra. Broken a boot lace? Forgot to pack the sun cream? Don't worry, it's not your problem, it's ours!
