Simply Walk is a small business run by people who have walked many miles of the paths and trails of the Peak District. Using local knowledge our own unique walking tours take in the diverse scenery, history and geology of the Peak District, introducing you to the highlights of the area and some hidden gems.

Let us know what type of accommodation you want – from youth hostel to country house hotel – and we will advise you of the walk for you. If you want a particular type of walk, or to visit a particular place let us know and we will design your own special walk from short, flat with a good lunch-time pub to long training walks with steep ascents. Want to take your dog? If the accommodation does not cater for dogs, talk to us and we will discuss the possibility of him/her spending the night in our kitchen.

Each walk comes with full written instructions and a map. The written instructions have been tried and tested by others and we are 99% sure they will get you to your accommodation without a map – but we are on the end of the phone should you get into difficulties.

When you book one of our walking breaks we will send you a welcome pack with walk details, a list of pubs, cafes, shops on your route, a kit check list, details of how to get to your first night’s accommodation and, if you are driving, the arrangements for your car. For an extra small charge we can arrange your transport to your start (and home again) by train, bus or taxi.

Book one of our Peak District walking short-breaks and all you have to do is Simply Walk.

News

After lovingly developing Simply Walk Janet & Steve Marsden have handed it on to Elen Rees. All the old favourite walks are still available and a few new ones are just about to go online.

E-mail Elen for advanced
notice of these walks:
simplywalk@hotmail.co.uk

Elen has been visiting and living in the area for over 30 years: "I love the Peak District – it has so many faces and moods, many of which can be captured even in a short walking holiday. It’s also possible to link a short walking break with a visit to one of the many Peak District festivals or events. Contact me if you would like a walk arranged around one of these events.”
